Mission Statement for Lifeworks with Reiki

The mission statement for Lifeworks with Reiki is simple:

One: it is to teach and empower others through the Tenshintai/Usui System of Natural Healing and Energetic Healing so they may live a healthier more fulfilling life.

Second: it is to serve humanity and to empower humanity to live a more balanced life in harmony with nature.

Third: it is to help to preserve and to heal our planet Mother Earth in energetic ways.

Shintai: the person ; the system Be sound body, Be physically strong; have robust constitution. have a powerful effect on the system.
This is the system I have evolved from the original Usui System to set a boundary for what exactly I teach and to further the Art of Reiki. This is based on my research in Reiki and the Usui system. This is my vision of how the "Art of Reiki" was meant to be.

Reiki The Tenshintai/Usui System of Natural Healing was rediscovered by Mikao Usui in the late 1800s. He developed this system called "Usui Shiki Ryoho" to help others to know themselves and to heal. It was for him a Path of Enlightenment based in the Medicine Buddha Tradition and other Oriental Systems of Healing and Spirituality. These systems include basic knowledge of meridians and energy flow in the body as well as opening the mind to causes of disease and imbalance.

Most of what Dr Usui taught, has been passed down through oral tradition. The basic western tradition came through a woman named Hawayo Takata a Japanese immigrant who was born in Hawaii. She practiced all over the world and brought it to the United States and made 22 Masters before she died. Out of the 22 came two main lineages that have come to dominate how we now practice the Usui System (one being the lineage of Phyllis Furumoto, grand daughter of Mrs. Takata and the Reiki Alliance Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho} ( The other Barbara Ray Weber and The Radiant Light Technique}. Discovered recently are other lineages with direct connection to Makao Usui (Men Chhos Rei Kei Reiki Jin Kei Do}.

Since Reiki is an Art the form has evolved but the basic form is always taught first.

What is Reiki?

Reiki means Universal Life Force Energy! This life force is natural to all living things. It is in us and all around us. It is about Compassionate Love and Heart.

Quote of the Practice of Love and Heart by Thich Nhat Hahn "True Love is the capacity to offer joy and to remove all afflictions in the person you love (sentient beings, being all mankind)."

Maitri is the capacity to offer happiness. Karuna is the capacity to transform suffering. If you know how to look deeply into the person or persons you love, you will understand his/her suffering and deep aspirations. With this kind of insight you will be able to practice both these forms of love. This goes perfectly with equanimity and freedom.

All virtuous actions we have done is not equal to a love meditation.

Love meditation is to practice looking deeply, to understand the suffering the difficulties and aspirations of the person you love in order to offer him/her true happiness and true freedom. Your intention to love is not enough. You have to train yourself in the practice of looking deeply. Looking deeply in the meditation itself."
